Warning system for forum drama

What is your preferred warning system for forum drama and are you strict or laid back in your approach?

I would usually send a friendly PM if the situation isn't too full on. Following that I would follow on with official warnings and bans.

If the situation is too out of hand I'll do an immediate 24 hour cool down ban on those that are involved.

I don't get any dramas in the forums I am running now but in the past when I was running a forum and had a co-owner, dramas were frequent. Usually, I try to send a friendly reminder through PM but if that doesn't work, I will send warning. My extreme measure would be temporary ban but I haven't done this yet.

I usually just send a private message if I see things getting out of hand. I only had to deal with drama once, and thankfully my co admin was able to help since I was at work when things hit the fan.
