Where Do Drama Happens More, in Social Media Communities or Forums

These days drama happens in any platforms where users can share their opinion, for instance, social media, discussion board, or forums. Do you see dramas more on social media communities or on forums? Where do you see dramas being nasty, social media or forums?

These days I find that I see more drama happening on social media platforms than on forums. I know there are some forums out there that probably do have their share of drama, but most of the forum drama has shifted over to places like Reddit.

Social media by far.

I run a Facebook group with 60,000 members on it. I deal with drama on a daily basis. People really get butt hurt on social media. But it’s so busy, no one knows each other or the style of humor or sarcasm you may have.

Most people on forums are able to get to know each other enough to figure that stuff out.

That’s so true that people don’t know the posting style to “get” what another person meant. I feel like a referee on my Facebook group sometimes.

I think it happens more on social media than anywhere else. Social media is where you keep up with your friends and family but there is always drama going on. With adults, there’s a lot of political drama going on. With kids/teens, the drama from school will bleed over into social media.
