Dealing with workplace drama

I've found that drama comes along if you work with others, doesn't matter if you work in an office or if you work in retail there's always going to be drama. So what do you do when drama occurs at the workplace? Do you listen to what others are saying, and share your two cents or do you try to ignore it? It's best to try and ignore it of course but sometimes it's hard not to chime in!

I always tried to stay out of workplace drama. I was there to make money and pretty much tried to keep to myself with the exception of having one or two close friends. My boss appreciated me and I hated to disappoint her, so I just kept clean and did my work.

This is really how I try to be.

I work in an independent department outside of the rest of the company. We’re in charge of asset protection and sometimes have to assist it monitoring employees doing wrong which usually result in termination.

So, I find it best to stay out of the drama completely and only be serious at work.

I go to work, clock in, do my job, clock out and then go home.

They don’t pay me any extra for workplace drama so why would I get involved in all that?
