Do you need to have your vehicle inspected yearly or have emissions testing?

In the UK all vehicles over 3years old need an annual MOT testing that costs between £40-50 if there are no issues 😛

I just got a brand new vehicle and it’s stupid that I don’t get a year to not have to get a sticker for inspection and emissions. The Emissions can be exempt, but still need to pay for the sticker. It’s a scam.
