God damn AI crawler bots!

My host has been whacked with thousands of AI scraper/crawler bots, to the point it's used 100% of my CPU usage & 83% of my RAM, i've been trying in vein to fix this issue for about a week now and i'm at my wits end.

I'd hate to move away from Xenforo but honestly, with the pricing of VPS hosting and everything else going up, it might be the move. >_<

Oh no! I'm so ignorant about bots but now that's something I'll have to warn the owner of Christianity Haven about!! Sorry you had to go through it, but chalk it up to new knowledge and experience?

These AI bots have been crawling RPG Haven a lot lately, yesterday I had up to over 6,000 guests browsing my forum it's crazy! I think there's a setting you can add to your robots.txt so you can only allow certain bots, I'm assuming you can do the same to block the AI bots.

Fuck AI.

The AI scrapers and bots are my biggest complaint.

I used to be able to run a forum fine without needing to use CloudFlare, but even with that, I’m still getting on my forum with 600 guests. I know that the majority is spam bots and AI scrapers sucking up my resources.

Have you been able to do anything? Please share whatever you can!
